Crap shoot

Today was another one of those days where I had absolutely nothing planned, so picking the bow for the day was a complete crap shoot.  So I picked something random.
Well...it wasn't that random.  This was a freebie that came with the bow I'll wear tomorrow, from an Etsy shop called VeryShine.  I have a bunch of their bows on my Etsy favorites list, and almost all of 'em are big and fancy...stuff that wouldn't gee-haw with my standard daily attire of ill-fitting but comfortable jeans and a T-shirt/peasant top/flowy, comfy blouse.  The button, on the other hand...this bad boy will go with just about everything.

I wonder where that button came from, by the way?  It looks a lot like the buttons that my family's couch had when I was young, but I can't be certain.  Usually upholstered buttons do indeed come from furniture, and that's fine.  Reduce, reuse, recycle, and repurpose.

That's all I have to say for today.  It's a nice, comfortable hairpiece and I'm happy with it.  Hopefully the bow for tomorrow will be equally pleasing to wear.

Pac-Man fever

For the record, I suck at Pac-Man.  I've only played it a handful of times, but each time I couldn't get past the first level.  I guess it's one of those games that requires practice and patience...and patience is NOT one of my virtues!  Regardless, I do like Pac-Man.  Compared to the dumb video games we have today Pac-Man's simple innocence is...well, it's pretty nice.  Unfortunately I'm about to make myself look like a complete hypocrite, because my Pac-Man is munching more than just little white pellets! Fancy a jellybean?

No thanks, I'm good.  I positively loathe jellybeans...unless they're on my hair bow. Mama hauled off and surprised me with three huge hair bows shortly after the beginning of May.  Two of 'em are patriotic, and the third one is this one, my jellybean bow.  Even though I don't particularly care for jellybeans, I love the colors!  It's a nice big bow too, exactly 7.75 inches across.  Okay, I lie a little bit about jellybeans.  I'm just VERY.  VERY.  PICKY.  I like the Starburst-brand jellybeans, and certain flavors of Jelly Belly (peach is my favorite).  Peach is just about my favorite anything, LOL.   Funny story about jellybeans.  After a story got loose in England about George Harrison and his fondness for Jelly Babies (a softer confection that isn't available stateside), well-meaning fans started throwing the sweets at George and the rest of the Beatles.  News travels fast, and when the Beatles started playing Amer...

Colour my world

It's Crayon Day! It should be no surprise to y'all that I love crayons even now.  When I was very, very little I only had four, in the colors depicted on the bow:  red, blue, yellow, and green.  When I started school I learned that crayons come in many, many other colors, but I digress.  Green was my favorite color as a toddler, and it remains that way now, but for some reason I chose blue earrings to go with the bow. I think I chose blue because I wear blue jeans every day, and blue jewelry matches blue jeans.  Or that's the way I reasoned back in high school.  But for the record, I do love blue; when one is a Moody Blues fan one tends to gravitate towards blue, and I am indeed a fan, LOL.  Heck, I liked blue BEFORE I could tell Justin Hayward from Justin Timberlake (which isn't hard, as one's old and talented and the other is young and does better on SNL than he does as a singer).  But anyway, I got the blue crayons to go with my bow.  Pit...
