The Bow Belle

I don't have any bows with flames on them, and that's too bad because there are days when they'd do very well.  I was, however, able to root out a Halloween bow...sort of. Today is the anniversary of several historic fires, all of which are believed to be connected.  On this night in 1871 Chicago burned, Peshtigo, Wisconsin burned, Port Huron, Michigan burned, and a large chunk of Michigan's inner Lower Peninsula burned.  The damage was horrendous, of course, and the death toll was even worse.  At least three hundred died in Chicago, over five hundred died in Michigan, and between one and two thousand died in and around Peshtigo.  Yep, one to two thousand, up there with other disasters like the Johnstown flood and the Okeechobee hurricane, and yet few have heard of the Peshtigo fire because good ol' Chicago burned the same night.  What all that has to do with Stephen King and IT I'll never know, but I managed to kill a little time. I don't have anything too humorous to wear, so I went with a horror theme instead. That, kids, is Pennywise the clown, better known as It.  I have two of these, both from BaanBows on...guess where?  Etsy!  Told y'all that most of my best bows come from Etsy!  So do some of my best earrings.  Dig these. These came from EyesOnYouHandmade , and they're just one of the available murder weapons.  There are also meat cleavers, big heavy wrenches, a few different types of saw, and my choice of weapon, a claw hammer.  If you're not into horror the shop has tamer stuff.  Now for the record, I have no intention of killing anyone or anything deliberately (except maybe the red wasp that I saw out my window this morning), but if it comes to defending myself I'll most likely utilize either a claw hammer or a pair of scissors like what I'm currently wearing.  I doubt either one would work against Pennywise, though.  I remember HOW Bev killed him in th...
