Unicorn Day has come again

Image
Y'all know what it means when it's Unicorn Day! Every new wave of JoJo Bows I see has at least one bow spangled with either unicorns, rainbows, or hearts.  Or stars; she likes those too.  NBD, I s'pose, for I too like unicorns, rainbows, hearts, and stars. As to the eclipse yesterday, the only way I can describe it was "spectacular."  I met some folks with the right equipment and had a wonderful experience.  The full story can be found on my doll blog . Another random one

Today was another crap shoot bow.  LOL, I need to get a bow with some dice on it so I truly WILL have a crap shoot bow! Hey, more unicorns!  LOL, this JoJo Bow is one that I tend to forget about, but with the lovely colors and the cute motifs I really shouldn't.  With the week I've had I need all the positivity I can get. Yes, it's been a week for the ages.  Every day at least one loony has come into the library and driven us nuts, or Mama or I made a colossal blunder, or Mama or I lost something and had to move Heaven and Earth to find it.  I'm dreading what today might bring, but I'm trying to stay positive too.  Since it's Saturday maybe it'll be chill. FML

Image
So far every day this week has either begun or ended with a big FML moment.  Yesterday was the worst so far, so I'm hoping maybe a unicorn will offer me some luck. Yeah, I figure a unicorn appearing in my life is about as likely as the perfect man appearing, but it doesn't stop the bow from being cute.  And with the good Lord on my side I don't need unicorns anyway. But they're still fun to wear! Love, RagingMoon1987

More of the same

Yet another unicorn bow, and an uber-sparkly one at that! In truth these springlike colors have been perfect for the kind of weather the center of the country has been having.  As of writing it's already fifty-two degrees Fahrenheit, and it's predicted to get warmer.  Then as always the weather's gonna change; it's supposed to rain all weekend.  Oh well, I like rain. More pink...

...and more lavender.  But hey, at least there's unicorns! MGA Entertainment once ran a line of customizable Bratz, and they included an insert in their package that declared their new owner ruled more than unicorns.  While I'm flattered by such sentiment, unicorns set the bar pretty high when it comes to ruling.  I think the two earthly beings that can outdo a unicorn are a pegasus or a dragon.  Dragons reign supreme! Funny, I never thought to look for a dragon bow, and it's a Year of the Dragon.  I may have to see what I can do about that.  The Chinese dragon was one of the most kick-a$$ Beanie Babies ever, by the way.  That whole Chinese Zodiac set was cool, but the dragon was my favorite.  This is him.  My dad was born in 1952, so the dragon was his critter. Being a product of 1987, I'm a rabbit (as is my mother).  My sister is a goat.  Unicorns sadly have no part in the Chinese Zodiac. Love, RagingMoon1987

Another of these goofy things

When you're at a loss over what to wear on one particular day, toss in a unicorn bow. That's really all I have to say today.  There's nothing else I can bloviate about...at least, not when it comes to unicorns. Love, RagingMoon1987

The unicorn of a different color

Image
This one is kinda unusual.  It incorporates unicorns with a fabric that looks vaguely like Pucci...or tie-dying, take your pick. The unicorn is Afro-American, with a curly black mane AND a little crown on her horn.  She's the Queen and she knows it!   I saw this at Wal-Mart and fell in love, because when's the last time any of y'all saw a unicorn of this type?  Of course unicorns can be any color they want, but this one depicting a black girl tickled me to death.  Just goes to show that we can ALL be unicorns! Roses and unicorns

Image
This one reminds me of the scene described in " Lookin' Out My Back Door ."  It's got roses, plaid, unicorn profiles, AND a rainbow horn.  Now all it needs is a flying spoon. On the other hand, this one kinda goes with everything I have! Interesting thing about "Lookin' Out My Back Door":  it is NOT a drug song, despite the kooky lyrics.  John Fogerty was inspired by a Dr. Seuss book , one that was among the controversial six entitled To Think That I Saw It On Mulberry Street .  Well, well, well, all you wokies out there, put that in your bong and smoke it!  I don't know what Fogerty's opinions are on the book now, but he'd have very little room to gripe since it inspired one of Creedence Clearwater Revival's more popular songs.  Oh well, leftie or no, I love me some CCR, and I like some of Fogerty's solo stuff too.  " The Old Man Down the Road " makes me think of a very bizarre murder case here in Missouri...one that has n...

Another one of...those

I once eschewed these unicorn face bows as tacky, but here's another one! In addition to being a unicorn, this one is tie-dyed...sort of.  It's got a gradient of soft colors that makes me think of tie-dyed stuff.  The pink flower in the center even matches one of my new spring blouses.   That's it for the week!  Kinda fitting that I'd wear a rainbow-colored bow on a rainy day. Happy weekend, RagingMoon1987

Hair bow haul

Image
Well, today my mailbox was full of hair pretties.  I got five in all, which I think is a record for the most in one day.  To start things off I got this cicada clip for summer, particularly the hottest days of summer.  It's made out of very thin cloth and is quite delicate.  Then there's this pair from eBay.  Y'all may remember from this post that I once thought these unicorn face bows were tacky.  Their horns have flip sequins, but that part is hard to see.  A jack o'lantern bow for Halloween.  It's my third bow with streamers on it, and knowing me it won't be my last.  And finally, a West Virginia University bow for football season.  I like West Virginia.  Go figure.  That isn't even the end of it, as I've got at least two more on the way.  These individual bows will get further discussion when I wear them...whenever that'll be.  Love, RagingMoon1987

Belated a bit, but oh well

April 9th is Unicorn Day, and this year Unicorn Day and Easter happened to coincide.  So to make up for it, behold!  A JoJo bow! I have several JoJo bows with unicorn horns, but this is the only one I have with eyes.  Once upon a time these unicorn face bows were fairly common at Wal-Mart...and at the time that I saw them I thought "Those are the tackiest things I ever saw!  Who on Earth would want to wear those?"  Five-plus years later, here I am wearing one.  How tastes change, huh?  I don't guess you're ever too old for unicorns!  Strangely, I was not a huge unicorn fan when I was the target age for these bows, but I did love My Little Pony, so I guess that counts.  I still love My Little Pony, LOL. Hmmm...My Little Pony...I could call my hair bow Pinkie Pie, except that of the six Equestria Girls I actually like Pinkie Pie the least.  If asked several years back who my favorite MLP was  I'd have said Twilight Sparkle , but nowad...
