Something red...

Told y'all my solid bows would be getting more mileage!  Today is American Red Cross Giving Day, as well as Little Red Wagon Day, so I trotted out a small number that I usually reserve for winter. Truth be told, I'm not a huge fan of the Red Cross.  They treated Uncle From St. Louis well while he worked there, and he acted like he loved the gig.  He did security, then couriering, then warehouse work before retiring, and he enjoyed the warehouse work because he got to drive a forklift.  But his daddy/my grandfather served in Europe during World War II, and he said all the Red Cross did was serve coffee and tell a man when a baby had been born.  In the aftermath of the Tri-State Tornado, some victims also reported that there was a lot of politics involved in who the Red Cross helped.  One lady who was interviewed reported that her family got ZERO help from the Red Cross, but her neighbors got a whole new house built.  The Red Cross isn't ALL bad, of cour...

Dead end

It's over, thank God, Thanksgiving is over!  Then comes Christmas, which also isn't as fun now that I'm grown.  But oh, do I love the lights and the decorations and the spirit!  That said, today's bow doesn't show that.  I'm not quite there yet. Etsy shop is skullxcrusher , the same shop that supplied my Karen bow . For some inexplicable reason I had a fixation with road signs growing up.  I think it was because a lot of 'em utilized short words that my toddler mind could read.  I knew "stop," "go," "left," "right," "turn," "enter," "exit," "dead," and "end."  I also learned "street" quickly because Malden has a handful of signs that read "dead end street."  I needed a little help with "yield" since it wasn't in any of my kiddie books.  I also learned the word "bitch" pretty quickly, because someone had graffitied a stop sign ...

EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATE!!!

Why do Daleks have a day of their own???  Indeed, according to my favorite holiday website these inverted trash cans with eyestalks get TWO days, the next one being in December.  Either way, I've got the bow. For the uninitiated, Daleks are the bane of Doctor Who's existence.  They are essentially these slimy looking little beings that live inside the armored trash can pictured on my bow.  They are very dangerous, and since they're based off the Nazis they're also ruthless.  Despite the danger that Daleks present to...well, everything that lives and breathes, the Doctor regards them with contempt rather than fear .  Indeed, the Doctor turned the tables on the Daleks at least once when the Ninth Doctor subjected one Dalek to a nasty torture session...with a smile on his face, no less!  WhoCulture listed that stunt as one of the worst things the Doctor ever did, but considering what the Daleks did to the Doctor's home planet...well, can you blame him for...

How DARE you?!?!?!

You didn't give me my way without batting an eye and now I'm mad!!! Yesterday's bow was one of my biggest, and today's bow is one of my smallest, at three inches across.   Admit it, if you're reading this you're probably a bit of a Karen too.  All of us have it in us, but most of us keep it hidden until it's needed, and most of us probably don't go to the extremes that the Karens on rSlash do.  LOL, do any of y'all watch rSlash's "r/entitleparents" videos?  The voices that rSlash uses are hilarious, and some of the stories he reads are...well, they're both hilarious and infuriating, since some Karens are full-tilt ridiculous.  HERE is a link to rSlash's channel. If y'all have read my doll blog then you may have seen that I...actually kinda resent the "Karen" label a bit.  I agree that this breed of woman has to have a special name, but why couldn't it have been some old name that no one uses anymore, somethin...
