Back to school

Oh, back to school...that was a naughty phrase when I was a little girl.  Mama, my sister, and I all had to go back and it wasn't too much fun, though I will admit that I liked shopping for school supplies (especially when Lisa Frank was big).  But normally Mama didn't want to go back (she was a teacher), my sister and I didn't want to go back, and Daddy didn't want us to go back!  The teachers have ALWAYS had to go back before the kids, and they've always had to leave a few days after us, and I never thought that was fair.  To me it wasn't officially summer until Mama got out for good.  But that's all past us now as my sister and I are out of school and Mama retired several years ago.  But with the new school year looming...well, of course y'all know what I have.  I think the Etsy shop is LittleBelleBowtique.
Mama got that for me clean back in March, when the END of school was in sight!  When it comes to clothes and accessories it's always best to plan ahead, so I won't complain.  I'll just watch the school buses and think "SUCKAS!!!" with a sadistic grin on my face.  Some of those kids are seniors, but the little ones have a long road ahead!

Despite my negative comments school was mostly a pleasant affair for me...until I got to seventh grade, that is.  The bullying began in fifth grade, but it didn't get bad until seventh grade, and it didn't stop until tenth grade when I turned the tables on the main instigators.  Ugh...I wouldn't repeat high school if you paid me, but grade school was pretty awesome.  I was a perfectionist and a crybaby, but for the most part I had fun.  My classmates and I were all working class with clothes from Wal-Mart and local mom-and-pop stores, and race and gender weren't a big deal...okay, sometimes gender was a big deal.  Girls had cooties, after all!  And boys were downright yucky, LOL!
