My biggest bow
Or rather, one of my biggest. I have two in this size, one in LSU colors and one in Auburn University colors. This one is the LSU-colored bow.
Both these bows are nine inches across, putting them bigger than my jellybean bow.
LSU is another of those schools that my family roots for in the fall, and for a very humorous reason. As I've stated before I suffer from the occasional kidney stone. I had my first one when I was sixteen, and then I had another one shortly after I turned twenty. Both times my doctor was this short, fatherly type who wore LSU-themed hats and scrubs. It never occurred to me to ask him if that was where he'd been to school, or if he just loved the colors like I do. But either way I always think of him when I hear about LSU doing well at some sort of event.
I think it's kinda funny, by the way, that Auburn and LSU are both the Tigers, but their colors are completely different. I think it's interesting, and pretty cool too. Mizzou is also a bunch of Tigers, and they're gold and black. Then my mother's old high school, Piedmont, Missouri's Clearwater High School, has your usual orange and black tiger, but the orange is this beautiful deep shade. Clearwater's colors made for some striking school outfits, by the way. Back in Mama's day the girls wore sweaters instead of letterman jackets, and she still has hers. The sweater is black with that dark orange tiger, and a few big C's for Mama's participation in volleyball (also in orange). I wish that my school had had an option for sweaters. Malden's school colors are green and gold, so such a sweater would've been stunning. If only...oh well, now I have a hair bow in those colors! Y'all won't get to see that until school starts again, though. It's a pretty one.
Go Tigers,
