The living can be hurt

Sounds like something the Doctor would've said to one of his crazy friends, but it's actually a quote from one of my dad's favorite movies.
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir is probably the last flick I'd picture being immortalized as a hair bow, but the proprietors of DollfaceDesigns tends to think out of the box.  For the uninitiated, the titular Mrs. Muir is Lucy Muir, a young British widow who moves into a large house by the sea, accompanied by her young daughter and her housekeeper.  Unbeknownst to Lucy, the house is haunted by the ghost of a seafarer, and...well, they fall in love and the story goes from there.  My father, six-foot-two and three hundred pounds, was not one to cry easily (indeed, I saw him cry exactly once), but when The Ghost and Mrs. Muir came on TV one day he warned me "Better sit in front of me, Sarah.  This movie often makes me cry."  So I did, and so we enjoyed the flick.  Indeed, it has its emotional moments, as well as a few moments that made us both giggle enthusiastically.  Even though I was only about nine or ten, I understood the gist of the movie and enjoyed it thoroughly...and sadly, that was the only time I ever saw it.  That was often the case with movies Daddy loved; they only came on TV once in a blue moon, and none of us ever thought to get it on VHS.  Oh well, nothing's stopping me from getting it on DVD now, and I need to read the book as well.  I've loved the movie all these years and yet I had no idea it was based on a book.  Indeed, my bow makes it quite clear that the flick came from a book.  See the author's name?
Regarding the bow itself, it's your standard white grosgrain bow, but it's got a lace overlay to make it pop a little.
It's also layered, as all of these bows from the shop are.  The top layer is printed on this leathery-type fabric, and y'all saw the bottom layer.  Like my other bows from this shop it's comfortable.  I was able to slide it in without pulling my hair, something I was NOT able to do on Thursday!  I hate having my hair pulled.

That about wraps it up for today, and for the week.  No rest for the weary though, as I have the herculean task of cleaning my house ahead of me, AND I'm on a time crunch.  I want to get it done before next week, when temperatures are predicted to hit ninety degrees again.

Love,
