Big boxes for big bows?
Seriously, when I saw these boxes on the hood of my car I thought "These two have to be a mile wide."The brown box is a seven-inch cube...
...while the flat box is nine and a half inches across.
I do have two bows that are nine inches across (the season isn't right for them yet), but when I opened the flat box I found that the bow is a manageable size. It's got a sequined spider and web on it, perfect for Halloween.
The Etsy shop that provided this bow is called SweetAngelDreamBows, and they do tumblers, plates, and phone covers in addition to blingy cheer bows. I probably won't wear this one until Halloween, but it's a nice bow with substantial weight. The sequins are ON THERE, by the way, unlike the sequins on some of my dolls' dresses. The green material reminds me a little of snakeskin up close, even though it doesn't look much like snakeskin. Indeed, one of my fellow dolly bloggers compared a fabric like this to squid skin, and cephalopod skin does look speckled and shiny.

The other bow is also your average-sized cheer bow, and I was a bit concerned about it. I custom-ordered a message, but never got anything saying "Yeah, we can do that" or "No, we can't." SweetAngelDreamBows did that when I bought my bow, verifying that I wanted it the way the picture showed it. Well, here's the other bow...
...and here's the message. To my delight, it's exactly what I wanted.
"Try to set the night on fire," the last line from my favorite Doors song, "Light My Fire." I suspect that this seller may be familiar with the song, as she accentuated the same words that Jim Morrison accentuated when he sang the song. I wanted a song lyric that stuck to fire, or light, or glowing, because this bow glows under blacklight...and under my trippy porchlight, which often behaves like a blacklight. I love stuff like this!

Shop's name is beautifulChaos101. They have a huge range of stuff, all of which can apparently be customized (I really like the picture frames). Oh yeah, here's the bottom of the box. I love these stickers!
So yeah, big boxes don't necessarily hold the biggest bows, but I applaud both sellers for packaging these bows so that they wouldn't be crushed. Sometimes that's an issue with items like this. Based on the packaging and the final products, both of these bows will be getting good reviews.
Love and sparkles,
