The twenty-fifth

It's that day again.  The day that every American old enuff to remember 9/11 stops and remembers where they were when they got news of the terror attack.
I also think a lot about our local police, fire, and first responders today, since they were on high alert after the mess in NYC.  Everyone was.  Our schools were on lockdown all day, to the point that when I walked to the elementary school from the high school someone had to let me in.  But yeah, even in little podunk Malden, Missouri the police were out full-force, looking for dodgy characters.  I think they did find one drunk smart-a$$ making vague threats of violence, but that was it.  But little podunk Malden, thank God, has lovely police, lovely firemen, and lovely first responders.  I'm grateful that we at least have that.

I can't believe it's been twenty-five years since all that!  At times it feels like it was just yesterday, and other times it feels like it was a million years ago.

Sweeping change of subject, new mani.  As y'all can see, I haven't yet learned the fine art of NOT flooding my cuticles.
Brand is Revlon Street Wear, color is "Sky."  Fitting, though today our sky is overcast and rainy.
