I spoke too soon!

Okay, I spoke too soon about July being super-dull.  Today is a family-favorite holiday, National Hot Dog Day.  Thus I get to wear my corn dog!  Etsy shop is CreationsbyCronisha, and they are currently not selling.

The corn dog is no gray area, I must say!  I've gotten laughter, compliments, and a few folks that shrug and say "You do you."  Hey, as long as they're not rude I can dig whatever they say.  But I like to wear goofy stuff, and...well, wearing a crocheted corn dog is about as goofy as it gets.

Mama and I went on a strict diet around the first of July, because our weight is getting out of hand and our joints ache because of it.  Lots of water, lots of fiber, lots of eggs, no candy or chips or soda.  Not the most fun, but we already feel better because of it.  But today we might go to Sonic and pick up a hot dog apiece.  Sonic makes their hot dogs good.  I like mine with relish, mustard, and kraut, while Mama likes...well, we BOTH like chili dogs, actually.  Truth be told, I like my hot dogs burned over a fire, but can't have everything.

Yet another patriotic one.  This one came from Etsy, but I don't know what shop it was. This one is one of three that my mother got for me in one fell swoop.  The others are the jellybean bow from June 3rd and the flag bow from June 14th . Like them, this bow is a big one. Pac-Man fever

For the record, I suck at Pac-Man.  I've only played it a handful of times, but each time I couldn't get past the first level.  I guess it's one of those games that requires practice and patience...and patience is NOT one of my virtues!  Regardless, I do like Pac-Man.  Compared to the dumb video games we have today Pac-Man's simple innocence is...well, it's pretty nice.  Unfortunately I'm about to make myself look like a complete hypocrite, because my Pac-Man is munching more than just little white pellets! Phooey on pellets and fruit and ghosts, Pac-Man's hitting the hard stuff!  The Etsy carrier, DollfaceDesignss , goes heavy on the horror, so I guess Pill-Popper Pac-Man is kinda tame compared to Psycho .  Whatevs, I like my accessories a little (or a lot) on the offbeat side, so I'm happy.  This is a mighty nice bow, by the way.  Some of my bows pull my hair like mad, but this one slid right in. Fancy a jellybean?

No thanks, I'm good.  I positively loathe jellybeans...unless they're on my hair bow. Mama hauled off and surprised me with three huge hair bows shortly after the beginning of May.  Two of 'em are patriotic, and the third one is this one, my jellybean bow.  Even though I don't particularly care for jellybeans, I love the colors!  It's a nice big bow too, exactly 7.75 inches across.  Okay, I lie a little bit about jellybeans.  I'm just VERY.  VERY.  PICKY.  I like the Starburst-brand jellybeans, and certain flavors of Jelly Belly (peach is my favorite).  Peach is just about my favorite anything, LOL.   Funny story about jellybeans.  After a story got loose in England about George Harrison and his fondness for Jelly Babies (a softer confection that isn't available stateside), well-meaning fans started throwing the sweets at George and the rest of the Beatles.  News travels fast, and when the Beatles started playing American gigs fans threw jellybeans at them a
