Over the rainbow

Today is for our critters that are over the Rainbow Bridge.
As far as I know BowBow is NOT over the Rainbow Bridge, but JoJo Siwa is a pet owner like the best of us, and she knows what it's like to lose 'em.  One of hers got taken by coyotes, which I can also relate to.  When I was little my paternal grandparents had four dogs, and one was a beagle named Peep.  Peep was allowed to roam loose (unlike the other dogs), and it caught up to her a couple'a times.  She spent the last few years of her life crippled after a car hit her, and not long after Grandpa died the coyotes got her.  Daddy found her remains on the ridge and buried her, and that was the end of my friend Peep.

That said, I love coyotes.  I know they can be pesky and destructive, but they have their place in the world and I respect 'em.  On winter nights we can hear 'em way off, howling and yipping.  I love to hear 'em, but at the same time I'm glad they're out at the ridge and I'm here in town!

Have a good one, y'all!  Watch out for coyotes...and roadrunners too, for that matter.  That combo is both amusing and dangerous.

I spoke too soon!

Okay, I spoke too soon about July being super-dull.  Today is a family-favorite holiday, National Hot Dog Day.  Thus I get to wear my corn dog!  Etsy shop is CreationsbyCronisha , and they are currently not selling. The corn dog is no gray area, I must say!  I've gotten laughter, compliments, and a few folks that shrug and say "You do you."  Hey, as long as they're not rude I can dig whatever they say.  But I like to wear goofy stuff, and...well, wearing a crocheted corn dog is about as goofy as it gets. Mama and I went on a strict diet around the first of July, because our weight is getting out of hand and our joints ache because of it.  Lots of water, lots of fiber, lots of eggs, no candy or chips or soda.  Not the most fun, but we already feel better because of it.  But today we might go to Sonic and pick up a hot dog apiece.  Sonic makes their hot dogs good.  I like mine with relish, mustard, and kraut, while Mama likes...well, ...

Colour my world

It's Crayon Day! It should be no surprise to y'all that I love crayons even now.  When I was very, very little I only had four, in the colors depicted on the bow:  red, blue, yellow, and green.  When I started school I learned that crayons come in many, many other colors, but I digress.  Green was my favorite color as a toddler, and it remains that way now, but for some reason I chose blue earrings to go with the bow. I think I chose blue because I wear blue jeans every day, and blue jewelry matches blue jeans.  Or that's the way I reasoned back in high school.  But for the record, I do love blue; when one is a Moody Blues fan one tends to gravitate towards blue, and I am indeed a fan, LOL.  Heck, I liked blue BEFORE I could tell Justin Hayward from Justin Timberlake (which isn't hard, as one's old and talented and the other is young and does better on SNL than he does as a singer).  But anyway, I got the blue crayons to go with my bow.  Pit...

Pac-Man fever

For the record, I suck at Pac-Man.  I've only played it a handful of times, but each time I couldn't get past the first level.  I guess it's one of those games that requires practice and patience...and patience is NOT one of my virtues!  Regardless, I do like Pac-Man.  Compared to the dumb video games we have today Pac-Man's simple innocence is...well, it's pretty nice.  Unfortunately I'm about to make myself look like a complete hypocrite, because my Pac-Man is munching more than just little white pellets! Phooey on pellets and fruit and ghosts, Pac-Man's hitting the hard stuff!  The Etsy carrier, DollfaceDesignss , goes heavy on the horror, so I guess Pill-Popper Pac-Man is kinda tame compared to Psycho .  Whatevs, I like my accessories a little (or a lot) on the offbeat side, so I'm happy.  This is a mighty nice bow, by the way.  Some of my bows pull my hair like mad, but this one slid right in.
