Ain't it great to be crazy?!

Happy National Peculiar People Day, y'all!  I freaking love being an eccentric! I wish my sister were here.  She'd HATE this bow.  Etsy shop is one of my favorites, MoFunAccessories , and there was an interesting story behind this particular bow.  I'd picked a similar one with a decapitated Lalaloopsy doll on it, but the proprietor of the store contacted me and told me the Lalaloopsy bow had disappeared in the mayhem that was her shop!  She offered me another bow, I picked the other beheaded doll, and all was well.  The proprietor of this shop is extremely accommodating, and I can't recommend her enuff. Yep, I guess y'all could say that I'm Malden's resident eccentric.  It's not uncommon to see a fat brunette limping through a graveyard with one or more dolls in my hands, looking for that perfect spot to set up for a photo op.  Or you might see me limping around looking up, my phone in my hands, as I wait for a special cloud to be perfectly illumi...

I like circles, but I didn't know there was a day for them.  Today is Look For Circles Day , and the circle happens to be my favorite shape.  Etsy shop is KeeliesCheerBows . Mama wasn't lying when she said that every day had some sort of goofy made-up holiday.  By the way, I wonder when polka dots stop being polka dots and start being circles.  These look pretty close to the threshold, but I don't know where that threshold is. <pauses to look it up>  According to designpoolpatterns.com , circles are hollow or contain some sort of motif (like the Chessie System logo sort of does), while polka dots are a solid color all the way through.  So it sounds like all polka dots are circles, but not all circles are polka dots.  But seriously, circles have always been my favorite shape.  They're smooth all over, and some of my favorite things were circles.  My favorite game was whiffle ball, and most of the best balls are round.  My favo...

EXTERMINATE, EXTERMINATE!!!

Why do Daleks have a day of their own???  Indeed, according to my favorite holiday website these inverted trash cans with eyestalks get TWO days, the next one being in December.  Either way, I've got the bow. For the uninitiated, Daleks are the bane of Doctor Who's existence.  They are essentially these slimy looking little beings that live inside the armored trash can pictured on my bow.  They are very dangerous, and since they're based off the Nazis they're also ruthless.  Despite the danger that Daleks present to...well, everything that lives and breathes, the Doctor regards them with contempt rather than fear .  Indeed, the Doctor turned the tables on the Daleks at least once when the Ninth Doctor subjected one Dalek to a nasty torture session...with a smile on his face, no less!  WhoCulture listed that stunt as one of the worst things the Doctor ever did, but considering what the Daleks did to the Doctor's home planet...well, can you blame him for...

Puffballs from the past

No, not the mushroom.  This little goober! These were called My Precious Puffs, and they were made by Matchbox, the bunch better known for small cars.  They were produced in 1987 (meaning that they're as old as I am) and came in three sets.  The Beauty Puffs came in soft pastel shades and were perfume-scented (perfume makes me sneeze).  The Music Puffs were neon-colored and weren't scented at all.  Thank goodness, because my particular Puff is a Music Puff.  The last group also was scented and was called Party Puffs .  That last bunch had names, typical kid names like "Sunny" and "Lucky."  Mine doesn't have a name, so I'll have to change that. When the website said these were wearable, I think they meant one's wrist rather than one's hair.  My Puff fits very comfortably around my wrist, but getting him around my ponytail is another story entirely.  It's a challenge, but I always manage to get the job done.  No hair decoration tell...

Have you ever seen one of my bows and thought "What the hell was that designer thinking???"  Well...today I'm feeling that. Y'all ready for this?  We've got three colors (more if one counts the owls), three prints (two styles of polka dot and the aforementioned owls), and four styles of ribbon (grosgrain, tulle, glittery pink, and glittery silver).  To me it's kind of a hot mess, but my mother loves it.  LOL, if she likes it then that's important, as my mother's opinions are important to me.  Plus, it matches two of my favorite blouses.  It did pull the snot out of my hair going in, though.  Par for the course with mass-produced bows, unfortunately. What say y'all?  Hot or hot mess? Love,  RagingMoon1987

Don't run with scissors

This one is one of my more macabre bows.  Etsy shop is Nekollars , and be forewarned:  a lot of that shop's stuff is BDSM-related. Yes, that's blood on the bow (fake blood, of course).  I like to joke that I was running with scissors.  Remember these? Believe it or not the bloody scissors are popular with some of my patrons at the library.  I like to call them my murder earrings, LOL.  Indeed, I did kinda wake up this morning wanting to murder someone.  A gimpy leg, blurry eyes, fleas, and a nonfunctioning A/C made for a sleepless night.  I plan on doing something about the fleas TO. DAY., so that at least won't be a problem for much longer. Adieu, RagingMoon1987

Something weird

I've had this bow around ever since the beginning of this coronavirus crap.  It's a popular bow at my place of work, and it's one of my favorites because it goes with everything.  Etsy shop is DelanieandDaleyzas . Never in my life did I dream that I'd see a toilet paper-themed bow.  I was even able to find matching earrings.  These came from kendrasetsyshop . Why everyone wanted toilet paper at the beginning of this mess is anyone's guess, but it was.  The first day that I went to try and replenish my own stash of TP the shelves were bare...and one single smug-looking bitch was walking away with Wal-Mart's entire stock in her cart!  I stood with two other folks and loudly complained, but she just smirked and went sauntering away.  I wish to this day that we'd charged her in a mass and collectively said "'Scuse us, but we'll each be taking a couple'a these.  Please and thanks."  I won't tell y'all what I had to use for a couple o...
